Has disney put out any more details about these events besides the dates?
I plan on doing both events in one weekend and I'm very excited to know what will be going on!
For those who are veterans to these events can you give me tips or let me know what to expect?
Especially as far as character hunting since I'm an avid character hunter.

Star Wars Weekend - There are plenty of characters to take pictures with when going to Star Wars Weekend. Queen Amidala usually appears near Star Tours by the old Sounds Dangerous building. Chewbacca and Ewoks usually meet guest outside across from Star Tours. If you want to see the bad guys then head over to the Backlot Tour. This is where the bounty hunters, Darth Vader, Darth Maul and the Emperor hang out. Be warned though most lines for the bad guys can go well over an hour. You can meet Jedi and other famous people from the Star Wars universe on Streets of America. Mickey and the gang rotate at their meet and greet outside the Great Movie Ride. Just walk as if going to the ABC Commissary and you will see it to the right. Don't expect to find anybody on Sunset Blv. Last year they opened a giant tent in a parking lot next to RRC. There is a lot of special merchandise as well as a Luke Skywalker meet and greet. This year they are not doing the hoopla but they are doing fireworks. For the best view head towards the entrance like you were leaving and then turn towards the hat. This way you will get a good view of the fireworks without the hat blocking the view. I don't know much about the 24 hour events except they are very crowded. Expect some long lines for quite a few of the rides.

The only thing I really care about is whether or not the Darth Vader cupcakes from last year will be back. Those were legit.
