Star Wars Weekends 2005

I read on the mgmstudios.org web site that there will be 4 Star Wars weekends this year. They will start the weekend of May 20-23 and will finish on June 19-12. Can any one confirm this? We just booked for 5 days starting on May 17 in order to see the new movie on the night of the 18th at midnight and were hoping for a SW Weekend to follow. If this info is correct, it will be our dream WDW/Star Wars trip. :jumping4: :jumping4:

Well, if this is true, then we just might be going to WDW this year! DH is a HUGE Star Wars fan, and I know he and the boys would love to go down for all the activities. The only dates we could do it is 5/27 - 5/31 which falls during Memorial Day weekend, so we'll see!

I booked for the first weekend too, but I am doing the 12:01 show at home and then flying out late the next day (possibly a day showing too). I get SWW and my birthday all in one. Now, if only I could get ahold of those guest lists....

What exactly is there to do at Star Wars Weekends? Are there special shows, etc. DS is a fan but not an extreme fan. We are trying to decide if it is worth going to MGM for SW.

We have ressies to go down and I was hoping again hope that they would not cancel it because of the movie release. I am stoked!!!

GolfGal: Check out the following thread for Star Wars weekend information. They can describe it better than I can. We went four years ago and had an absolute blast. My daughter, who is a bigger Harry Potter/Lord of the Rings fan, is very excited about going. She is a 14 year old and nothing excites her. This is AWESOME news. Thanks so much for posting. We planned our first weekend for the last weekend for SW hoping they would happen. Now, I just have to keep from getting anymore snow days or we won't be able to make it!!
