Anyone who has been to the parks lately and would notice this kind of thing...have the Star Wars vinylmations been available recently, or did the initial batches sell out quickly and stores are waiting for re-stocks?

I was at the parks this past weekend and D-Street was completely sold out of the Star Wars cases. They said they have nothing in the warehouses either, so it could be a while.

We were there from 2/7-10 and D-Street had them at that time. They said that they had received some boxes over the weekend. Don't give up hope!

We were there 2/3 - 2/9 and saw them at multiple locations. DS bought one pretty early on, and wanted to hold off on buying a second one until the end of the trip. When we went looking the day before we left, we still found them at several different places in the parks (I know one place was Star Traders in Tomorrowland.)

I found them at D Street from Feb 1st to 8th, and they had lots. Am not certain if they have them in stock now. IMHO D Street has the best selection of Vinylmation, and they have alot more variety than any other stores in both parks. So if you are looking for something specific they are the place to go to.

We did go to the parks Feb. 19-23. There were no Star Wars vinylmations to be had. A CM at D Street said they might get some more in 2-3 weeks. Oh well. If things work out for us, maybe we will get down again sometime in the next couple months.

I've heard the same thing from CMs....in a few weeks, maybe next month.

What is a vinylmation?

Another way to fritter away money at Disneyland.

OK. To really answer your question...they are Mickey shaped figures made out of vinyl, most of them are painted with some sort of design, i.e. to look like a character or just decorated. The most common ones are 3" tall, but there are some mini sized ones and some 9" ones as well. They seem to be the latest collecting craze. We have collected pins for a while, but my sons really got into this new fad, and I kind of got pulled along. DH just looks on with amusement (and probably horror as he sees us spend ever more money on these little plastic things). It's a fun part of the trip for us to buy a few here and there, see if we like them, try to collect the ones we like, and trade away the ones we don't. They make sets that are blind boxed and some that have little windows so you can actually see what you get. DS9 really liked the Muppets and Toy Story themed ones and then collects others that catch his fancy. DS11 likes holiday themed ones and is attracted to various of the Park series, ones that are based on theme park attractions and characters. All three of us were hoping to collect some of the Star Wars themed ones that came out recently.

hum i have thought bout starting this colection we have never seen them in the park

Just wondering if anyone in the parks has seen these lately? Hoping to possibly fit in a quick trip to the parks in April and wondering if the Star Wars vinylmations are regularly in stock anywhere yet. TIA.
