HS has a Star Wars Tour that you can purchase. Has anyone on here down it? Was it worth it? I am not seeing anydates listed after April 30th but are hopeful they will continue it in May.

I’m going on it next week. They changed it relatively recently and I haven’t been able to find any reviews on the new format. (It used to start later in the day and included the dessert party. Now it starts at 8 am and does NOT include the dessert party but it does include reserved viewing for SWAGs.)

Please let me know what you think of it! I hope you have a great trip!

I’m not sure if I’d be good at a trip report (there are some real artists here on the disboards!) but maybe I will try to do a review of this event. There seems to be so little info on it out there.

We did the tour as DH is a big Star Wars fan. This was before the changes.

It's hard for us to be objective on the tour review as it was raining really hard on our day. It rained out all of the outdoor activities, no Jedi training or stage show or marching Storm Troopers.

We did get to go through TSM instead, which I loved, but it was not what I had wanted for the tour. We spend a lot of time in the indoor art area, which was just ok.

This did include the dessert party at the time, so that was fun. I enjoyed eating inside, but wish there would have been tables/chairs.

All in all, it would have been a lot easier to review if we could have had a day where all of the activities were available.

Wow, that would be very disappointing! We have a 24% chance of precipitation while we’re there. If a bunch of things get canceled I will be upset. The Jedi training is one of the main reasons we’re doing it as my kids are huge SW fans.

I’m sorry to hear that you got rained out. Jedi training is one of the main reasons I want to do this. We tried to do it 2 years ago and the line was crazy. To be able to have my kids do it without waiting in line for hours would be great.

As a current guide for the tour, I'd like to tell you that all of the guides are very enthusiastic about this tour! Let me start by saying *ALL of the tour activities are subject to change without notice, and some are weather dependent as well.* Yes, the tour did use to run in the afternoon, and it currently runs in the morning, starting at 8am and ending at 1:30pm. This has helped TREMENDOUSLY with the rain, and it very rarely alters the path of the tour.

The tour covers all the Star Wars related attractions at DHS. It also includes information of the some of the attractions histories, and storylines, exclusive access to characters, exclusive viewing areas for shows, lunch, and Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple for those ages 4-12. No need to go and sign up your younglings, we do that for you. It also includes several tour exclusive take home items, as well as VIP viewing for fireworks. (Most the year, Star Wars fireworks will take place, however in the Holiday season, Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam will take place. Fantasmic VIP viewing is NOT available.) This tour covers the history and the relationship between the WDC and Lucasfilm, how the two came to be, and what this means for the parks now, and for the future.

Tours run everyday except Sunday and Thursday.

Thank you for all of the information! It is only on the schedule through April 30th. Do you know when May dates will open?

Thank you SOOOO much for this! I kept asking CM on the reservation line if it’s still 7 hours even without the dessert party and they all said yes. But it sounds like it’s actually 5.5 hours, which makes more sense. Your info will help me adjust my plans for the day! We are excited to be attending the tour next week!

Are you allowed to tell us the average size range of attendees in the tour? Like is “normal” 10-15 people? More? Less?

If the tour is only 5.5 hours do you just come back for the reserved viewing area for the Galactic Spectacular in the evening? How does that work?

The number was significantly more than 15 when the tour included the dessert party. Don't think it's changed.

You receive a lanyard with credentials for the tour, that also gets you into the viewing area for Movie Magic and SWaGS. You're on your own once the tour ends.
