Star Wars Fireworks in early May?

I am taking a quick solo trip in may with only 3 days (hopper) in the parks and trying to plan my days carefully. I want to spend an evening at the Studios but only if there will be fireworks.

I have no solid evidence, but with Star Wars being a big part of Disney and HS, I would not be surprised if they make the fireworks permanent. I have a trip planned for April and was pleased to see they extended the dates. Now, let's make it permanent.

Do any insiders know what might prevent a permanent Symphony in the Stars? Does it cost a lot? Is it well attended? Will park goers get sick of fireworks (not me)?

On the SW thread I think the issue that was mentioned was the potential for construction to be in the area where the fireworks are normally done from. Not sure what the schedule will be yet.

I heard (rumor, I assume) that the current location from where the fireworks are done now is not going to be the same as where they will be done when the new show is ready. Trying to remain hopeful that there will be fireworks in May while I am there. I just loved the Frozen fireworks last summer.

Yep, I heard that as well. I believe on the other thread it was said they are building a new Launch pad.

exactly right. The new firewokrs/laser/projection show will launch from a different spot, off center from GMR.
No word on fireworks in May yet
