Star Wars Dessert party and rain

We are here now and rain is forecast for tomorrow night. What will happen to the dessert party? We really don’t want to show up soaked and find the fireworks cancelled.

If it is pouring, can we call and get a refund? How do they decide to cancel the fireworks? And if Disney cancels the fireworks, do we get refunded?

Ignore the forecast.

The dessert party is held indoors and will not be cancelled due to inclement weather.

SWaGS will take place if it's only rain. Lightening within a certain distance and/or high winds are the issues. If it appears that the conditions will not improve within a reasonable amount of time, the show is cancelled. If it appears that it will clear up soon, they'll delay the show before canceling. Canceling the show is rare however.

If SWaGS is cancelled, and even though Disney stipulates that they do not guarantee a show, there will be someone at the party that will work with you and attempt to make up for the loss of the show.

We had a severe storm around a year ago and fireworks were cancelled. We went back home the next day and a day or so later they called and refunded the cost. I was shocked and impressed since we did do the party. They also offered us to see the fireworks another night but since we went back home out of state that wasn’t a possibility.

We did the dessert party in April 2016. It poured. The party was inside and we had a blast. I swear there were less than 100 people there. The CMs were handing us bags of goodies to take with us. The CMs were also upbeat and dancing around. We all got nice ponchos and the rain let up in time for the fireworks.
