Star Wars Charactors

Just looking for information on these guys at MGM...

We have been to MGM only twice and both times missed the parade and it was horrible weather....

My husband and 4 of my boys are star wars junkies and my husband was told at work that the charactors are only out during star wars week.... we dont go to disney in the summer... THEREFORE im wondering if thats wrong.... are they part of the afternoon parades? Does anyone else see them when they go there?

I would like to know also, my ds10 is a huge star wars fan. I heard that when it's not star wars weekend you might catch a stormtrooper, but that's it( i hope i'm wrong though)
I did see pics on these boards though with anakin, and darth vader in the parade.

I've been to WDW many times and the only time I've ever seen Chewie and the Storm Troopers was during Star Wars Weekends in May of '05. Of course...it could just be my luck that I've never seen them other than that. My sister just ran the marathon on the 7th and she has a picture of her, Darth Vader, and two Troopers somewhere in the back of MGM so maybe they are occasionally out at times other than the official weekends.
That wasn't very informative for you, was it? You could always check the character guides thing that you get where the maps of the parks are. If they're not in there you could keep an eye out for them and if you get lucky you just might see somebody!

We were at MGM last Friday, 1/12. Darth Vader and two Storm Troopers were out by Star Tours for photos and autographs. Darth was definitely "in character"...standing with hands on hips and grabbing autograph books away from guests to sign....too funny!

Outside Star Tours, we saw Darth and 2 Stormtroopers in December. Even I was intimmidated! They truly stayed in character! It was hysterical when the stormtrooper got mad at me for instructing him where to sign my son's book!

We actually got "Family of the Day" and were escorted by Darth and the two Stormtroopers (with their guns being held diagonally like they do in the movies) onto Star Tours. It was awesome to walk through the upper level of Star Tours (where you usually just see some CM's and an occassional Stormtrooper walk). It was awesome!

Go to guest services and ask if/when there would be anyone out that day. I believe they can tell you exactly who will be where and when.

We're with you! We'd LOVE to go for Star Wars weekend, but won't do the Florida summer heat!

Yep, we got a cool picture with the Stormtroopers in front of Star Tours in November.
