Star Wars Character question

Does anyone know where to find some star wars characters at DW. My hubby is dying to get the kids pictures with them! he is crazy!!!!

Outside Star Tours. I have seen Darth Vader and a Storm Trooper.Missed a pic with Vader, but got one of DS and the storm trooper He was over the moon!

Most of the Star Wars characters are only there during Star Wars weekends. Maybe plan a trip around that time. We have gone several times and my kids got a huge kick out of all the Star Wars chacacters.

The Star Wars characters aren't out very often but I have a great substitution that is always out!! Across from Star Tours is a speeder bike like they rode on Endor. It is set up for pictures and all you have to do is wait your turn. My DS is the ultimate Star Wars fan and we got some cute pictures of him on the speeder. Every day we went to MGM we had to take one. Didn't wait in any character line-he wasn't into that so waiting on the speeder was OK. You could put all the kids on together for a group shot, and then each alone.

Get there early for the Stars & Cars Motor Parade! One of the Star Wars characters might walk right up to you! If not, well you can at least get pictures of your children with the characters in the very near background!

we just came back, and got loads of pics with star wars characters. that said it was star wars weekends though. It was my understanding that june is the best time to go to see star wars characters.

My understanding the characters (or the majority of them) are only out during Starwars Weekends, which runs through June. We were there just a few weeks ago and it was crazy packed!!! My boys wanted to see the characters so badly. We got there before park opening. There were storm troopers out in front of the gates on the buildings. We got pictures and it killed time watching them as we entered the park.

Back by the star tours ride is where we found the characters. It was soooo... hot that day (MGM always seems worst in the heat-maybe because of the black pavement) but the boys waited for two of the training academy shows to try to get on to "fight" as jedi's. They didn't get on...there were just too many people. The lines for characters were just as packed. The wait was very long and with so many people back there you could hardly walk through the area. We watched several people fall ill from the heat and lack of air flow through all the bodies. I actually couldn't believe that people(like us) were that crazy to be back there. After all...It wasn't Mickey!!!

Anyway we quickly got out of that area. My kids were a little disappointed about not seeing many of the characters but were thrilled with the parade that was mentioned earlier. They had a few characters come right up to them and point to them from the parade.

Just be prepared for long lines and a packed house if you go during Starwars Weekends.

DS has been able to get his pic taken w/Darth & a storm trooper on two trips now, just outside the Star Tours ride. The first time we saw them was in December and the latest trip in May they were also there PLUS he met a jawa in the area between the restaurant and the ride (where the Adat is shooting water on people as they walk by it).

Those are pics we took and dh used a program that came w/our Mac mini computer to do the comic book effects. I got a good laugh when he showed it to me!
