Star Wars Character Meal

My DS is was a real trooper at the Princess meal last year (they made more of a fuss over him than my DD - he even got a kiss from Jasmine!), but I would really like it if there was a character meal geered towards boys.

I have our reservation for CRT in October, and have been debating which one would be best for DS. Probably just Chef Mickey's. I was heartbroken to hear no Toy Story meal

It sounds like this would be a really big hit with adults and children. We would even be willing to use 2 TS credits to attend.

Does Disney have a "suggestions" section on their web site? I would love to BEG them to do this!!!

You should probably be asking George Lucas, not Disney, since he controls the characters. I wouldn't hold my breath on this one. Somehow I don't see Darth Vader getting scrambled eggs smeared on him by some ill-mannered child at a character meal.

That's precisely why I'm not sure that George Lucas would consent to a SW themed character meal. There are plenty of other ways to ensure marketability of Star Wars for years to come that don't look like something that came from The Simpsons. "Luke, be a Jedi tonight. . ."

"Do it for Yoda while we serve our guests a soda. Do it for Chewie and the ewoks too." Incidentally, this wouldn't be the first time, a Simpsons joke became real. When Albuquerque got a new AAA baseball team, the people voted to name the team the Isotopes, after an episode in which the Springfield Isoptopes were going to move to Albuquerque until Homer went on a hunger strike to draw attention to the pending move.

Now I would pay good money to see what Darth Vader would do to that ill-mannered child :rotfl2:

Seriously though I can't see this happening... I would love it, but I don't think Disney or Lucas would go for it... I don't believe Dinsey would think it's Disney enough and Lucas wouldn't want his characters being turned into pansies...

Still if it does happen I'll be there in a flash... :thumbsup2

First of all, my cantina idea need not have any of the main characters involved. Plus, if Lucas so worried about being a "pansie" I don;t think we would have seen that Ewok cartoon/movie or the Star Wars Christmas special.

Lucas wants to destroy every copy of that monstrosity known as the holiday special, so I think he's learned his lesson. The ewok movies, while okay, are not even close to the holiday special.

Oooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! :yoda: :chewy: :ewok:

Count us in...Dh's screen name is StarWarsMan....nuff said :thumbsup2

my dh would be in heaven over this - you should see all of the Star Wars stuff we have around here - he's a big fan of the "dark side" - especially Darth Vader - a couple of weekends ago he saw the original darth vadar costume at the boston science museum and he couldn't contain himself!

My DS8's eye's lit up when I read the title of this thread to him. That would be a really FUN! Character meal. I would definately book it!

SLAVE GIRL LEIA serving me peeled grapes.

nevermind this is a Disney board.

"Homer, use the forks. The force?!? No Homer, the forks."

In the end, I don't think we'll see a SW themed character meal. The thought of Darth Vader and Luke roaming from table while people eat doesn't fit with their characters. I don't think Lucas would approve that.

That would be AWESOME! DS and DH would LOVE a Star Wars meal. Hey, and that young Darth Vader (Christensen) is a HOTTIE...see you over at the Dark Side! :darth:

IF they did this my Dh said we can DEFINATELY come back in 2007 AS WELL, ( As I guess they wont be up and running in Oct 06) I HOPE they do read these sites, they should after all its us that pays for the meals, give us what we want..... please please please

:thumbsup2
My DS would flip if they did this. It is sad though that there is not something comparable to the princess meal for boys :sad2:

I would also like to see a Cantina themed restaurant...It would be the best... :woohoo:
