Is anyone else going to Star Wars Celebration this year? It is at the Anaheim Convention Center on April 16-19. I am getting more and more excited for the trip as we get closer! I am sure many people who are going to the convention will also be going to DLR.

We plan to go to DLR on Thursday and Friday, and the convention on Saturday. We are staying at Desert Inn & Suites so prime walking location for both attractions. I have an annual pass but my partner does not, so I will be going back to the parks Sunday morning while he goes back to the convention. This will be my first Star Wars Celebration, and actually my first convention of any kind. I wish we could do more days at the convention, but we couldn't take any more days off of work and I wasn't willing to do less than 2 days at DLR! We also have to factor in the 7 hour drive. :crazy2:

I do regret that we will be missing a panel, either on Thursday or Friday, with some Disney peeps who will be talking about designing Star Wars merchandise for the parks.

I hope to see lots of Star Wars fans in DLR while we're there! Ahhh I'm so excited! :darth: :chewy:

we got our DL package in the mail yesterday. it will be our first trip to DL (we go to WDW almost annually). we are doing a similar plan. 2 days at Celebration and 2 days at DL. (Thurs/Sat at Celebration and Fri/Sun at DL). I get in a day early with our son and hope to hit up the parks a little on Wednesday too.

DF and I will be there. We're going down on Wednesday for one full park day, then planning to spend most of the rest of the trip at SWC. Once the full schedule is released, we'll decide what panels we're willing to wait in line/camp out for, then decide how much time we want to spend in the exhibitor hall, and the rest will be enjoying some Disney magic. (We both have APs, and only Saturday is blacked out.) We're also going to the 501st party on Friday night.

We're coming home Monday afternoon, so we'll get another half day in the park then, too.

I'm so excited! It's not my first convention, but it is my first SW Celebration. Given the new movie and Disney's involvement, I expect it's going to be very, very cool. And crowded. But still cool.

Thanks for the link to calendar version. That's much easier to read. The app has also come in very handy in making our plans. The schedule seems to change every time I look at it!

We are going to only be there Saturday afternoon for SWC (our first time... so this is kind of an experiment for us) because I found out about it too late to get any more time off work. And then of course while we're there we'll pop into DL for a few hours Sunday morning before the long drive home. I have NO IDEA what I want to see at the Celebration but obviously my choices will be limited to what's available in that very small window. Regardless, it should be a blast!

I'm heading down with my family and a group of friends for 10 days, arriving the 15th and leaving the 25th. We're doing the con all four days, then after a wind down day on Monday, heading to the parks Tuesday and Wednesday. I'm so excited I started packing yesterday, lol.

The thing I'm nervous about it how long the lines will be at the convention. I hadn't really thought about it before, not having been to a convention, but someone on Facebook compared lines for getting into panels to being at DLR on a Saturday with no FPs. The horror! My boyfriend is really excited about a couple of the major panels, so I have a feeling we are going to be waiting in lines for a while.

Counting down the days! We will be in Anaheim Apr15-21. We are exhibiting at Celebration and then spending the day at Disneyland for my birthday on Monday the 20th!! Super excited to leave the cold snowy east coast for some sun, star wars, and Disney!

Believe it or not, the waiting in line is some of the fun. I was at Celebration V in Orlando, and met some wonderful people in our line ups, some I'm still friends with and am looking forward to seeing again at Celebration VII. You're not outside in the heat, you'll likely be able to sit while you wait (you could at the Orlando Convention centre), and it is so much fun to people watch. The costumes you get to see waiting in one spot, pretty great.

The whole atmosphere is just pure fun, and it's all people who share a love of Star Wars. I never felt put out waiting, and we waited for about forty minutes each to see Mark Hamill and Robot Chicken's panels. Never felt the wait at all. Some people waited overnight to see George Lucas, and even they said the line waiting was half the fun.

I can't wait to get there, 17 days to go!

Thank you, Calrissian13... that makes me feel better too since I have NO CLUE what to expect!
