Tell me about this ride/attraction! And pictures out there of it from the inside? Good or bad ride for chickens like me? Will I get sick?

DH doesn't like it, says its too bumpy. I like it, its like a virtual reality type thing. It's not too scary, there is a little "action" when there is the fire-fight, but nothing that chickens couldn't handle. Its the bumpiness that DH want's me to warn you about.

While it is a little bumpy, I think this ride is farily tame. It is one of our families favorite rides in MGM. You are sitting in a seat the whole time and it doesnt lift off the ground or anything. My son first rode this when he was 4 and he just loved it. We never miss this one. Feels like you are actually flying the ship. Pretty cool. :flower:

I've never felt it's bad at all. It seems really quick. It does throw you forward a few times where you feel you'll slip off your seat. I've gone on it numerous times and never saw anyone get sick. I find body wars a bit worse but perhaps that's because you are coursing through someone's blood stream.

My husband can get motion sickness...but he just takes a moment or 3 during the rides (Mission Space and the like) to look around the cabin. That technique seems to reorient his mind as to where he is in the world and keep his dinner in check! A banana just before riding works well for my sons as well.

Is this what you asked?

There is absolutely NOTHING scary about this ride. The only thing is it can be very jerky. I didn't even find it that bad, but due to being pregnant will skip it this time around. DS4 will be very disappointed, since it is one we have to baby swap with, he gets to ride twice in a row normally.

I don't mind jerky, like the Safari ride is jerky, but just don't want light flighty like movement...does that make sense. It is the weightless type movement that will make me sick, not big jerky movements. So....?

Oh, also I wanted to get an idea of what it looks like inside. Like what kind of vehicle are you in, how many people together. Does it go in the air? Are you watching a screen in front of you? Is it like 360, so you are completely surrounded by it? Am I way off? LOL!

It's not 360....it's just you sitting in a seat with a seatbelt and looking at a screen (which is the 'front' of your vehicle).

It feels more or less real and it is loads of fun (for me and mine, anyway!)...my four year old daughter thought it was the best and rode it at least 5 times.

Give it a try....it's very mild compared to Mission Space. From our experience the back row is MUCH more jerky/realistic than the front. If you are concerned, try for the front of the vehicle.

Here's a link to a photo of the seating on allearsnet.

It's really a fun ride...hope you'll give it a try!!

eta...it does NOT go anywhere (not off the ground or even forward). It's a simulator so it just rocks a little and uses lots of Disney magic to make you believe you are traveling to Endor.

Ride in front : Effects are a bit less convincing, but the ride is MUCH smoother

Ride in back : Effects are better but you get thrown around a lot
