my son is r2d2 mad, but does not like roller coasters :scared1:

is this worth a visit, or would it just be wasting precious time

many thanks jo

I loved this ride so much in america and im planning on going on it when i go to Disneyland Paris.
It was years ago when i went on it and i was only little so i cant quite remember it all but im sure its more of a simulator ride than a rollercoaster. Its nothing too wild. Hopefuly someone else can explain better tho, lol. It was about 10 years ago when i last went, LOL. I went on it loads though.

luv

Is it? How?

I've gotta admit to having fond memories of the one in Florida, I don't think you can beat the full sized AT-AT Walker outside (no matter how many X Wings and rebel Skiff awnings you throw at it).

The gift shop in the Florida one is much better (lots more Star Wars stuff).

The commentary in the one at DLP is in French (obviously).

I like the exterior of the gift shop at DLP (mock Rebel Outpost), but there isn't much in there to buy.

I like them both, but the one in Florida wins IMO.

BTW it is a simulator but a very aggressive one... you do get thrown around a bit.

I love star tours I'm hoping to get my niece on it this year but I'm not sure she'll like it.

Hi Nuts,

How old is your son? For a young Star Wars fan the queue alone is worth visiting - plenty going on and a full size C3PO and R2-D2 to boot.

The ride is great. My mum (early 60s) and kids (4 and 5 last time we went) all loved it. The ride is a little rough in a jerky way rather than an upside-down-oh-my-god-we're-all-going-to-die sort of way and there is plenty of R2-D2 to keep him occupied.

Have fun.

hi

thanks for all the help

he is only seven - but hates any fast rides - BIG TIME,

but he was ok in armageddon - so me thinks he might like this

and yes.... he is star wars MAD
