Star Tours Refurb

Can anyone tell me when Star tours is closing and reopening? We were planning to go to Disneyland in February but plans have changed. I would like to suprise my husband and daughter with a trip before Star Tours closes as they are both HUGE fans! I tried to search and couldn't find it so I came to the most trusted source

Sources I've seen say it will close in Oct 2010, and will open in 2011 (exact date not released yet). I don't know how reliable this closing date is, so if others have better info, do tell!

I was at the Expo when they announced this, and yes, Oct does sound right.

Thanks for bringing this up! I am sneaking in a short trip this summer and wanted to ride it one more time before the refurb. I first rode it during the preview days in December 1986 before it officially opened, so I have a nostalgia factor probably outsized to the ride itself.
