Does anyone know what the new height restriction will be for the new Star Tour ride?

I believe it's still rumors at this point. Last I heard the rumor was 44"... But again completely unconfirmed as far as I know.

Ok yeah I'm aware of that, I'm just not sure I'm ready to believe it 100% knowing how bad Disney can be about updating their website sometimes. :/

Well ... considering all the other info on that page talks about the new ride storyline, etc -- and that the height restriction matches internal info I've seen on CM sites -- I'm going by that. Plus ... it's logical. Considering the popularity of JTA and all things Star Wars by kids -- plus Disney's recent push for "family friendly" options -- I can't see them redesigning a popular ride in such a way as to shut out a large part of the potential kid audience. :confused3

Where did you get the 44" rumor from? Could you link to that?

I really hope the 40 in restriction is true. DS4 has been dying to ride since last April when he was too short. He's 41 in now, so he'll be all set come November! :cool1:

Don't get me wrong, I'm not challenging YOU, I've just been been burned one too many times by information on their own website, even when it seemed like it was updated. Indeed it only seems logical they would try to keep the height requirement as low as possible, and all things being equal, it's more likely to remain at 40".

It was mentioned by Matt Hotchberg of WDW Today, StudiosCentral.com, and StarTours2live.com on a recent episode of WDW Today. I don't recall the episode number so no I'm afraid I can't link to it at the moment. I might be able to dig it up later but that could be a lot of audio to sort through...

I should also add that even on that show I believe it was addressed as a rumor.
