Star Tours Gift Shop

Does anyone know if the gift shop is still going to be open? DS and I built a lightsaber last time we were there and it was busy and did not really get to look around at everything.

Star Traders (where the ride dumps you into) is the biggest gift shop in Tomorrowland. I can't imagine them shutting it down. If anything, the Star Wars section in the back may quiet down a bit now that it isn't getting a pod-load of people every few minutes.

Best of luck ... I have to put blinders on my boys to get them out of there with my wallet intact.

asked the cast member just this past weekend and he said they would close the store sometime January 2011.

Wow, just the Star Wars-themed section or all of Star Traders?

I would hope that even if they closed that back area to work on the ride they would push a lot of the merchandise out into the main area.

Unfortunately, I didn't specify which area in my question and the cast member [Star Wars photo section] didn't specify either in his reply. Sorry.

But what you say makes sense...that just the Star Wars section in the back would be closed.

Oh man, that might really suck. lol We love Star Traders. We did the Star Wars photos before our AP's expired.....they turned out so good!!!!!!!!! I should take pics and share them with you guys.
