Star Tours, getting the same ride each time, Why? **SPOILER**

No, that one isn't the pod race. Did you see the SW movie with Anakin Skywalker? That was about Darth Vader as a child and he is in a race. I don't know what the pod race scene on the ride looks like but I bet you would realize is it an actual race if you saw it and not just moving fast.

The CM we spoke to said Darth Vader is rare, which I was suprised at because I saw him so often!!



The Wookie planet is not the same as the pod race. I really enjoy the underwater scene! I am thinking the snowy location (Hoth?) is rare, also.

Well, the snow wasn't rare the week we went. That's all we saw! Which makes me wonder, if certain scenes come up more often at certain times, certain days, or certain weeks.

So it seems we saw the wookie camp one all three times? With Chewy, and then you're following what I thought were pods, but some flying things, it's all very woodsy and that one crashes into a tree, etc, etc.

Bummer that we saw that one scene 3 times, we saw at least 2 different ones for all other sections of the ride. I did like seeing Chewy!

I'm really glad they gave the ride a makeover. Maybe next that can do one on Soarin?! Would love some updated scenery segments.

I was disappointed riding it four times in two days we got exactly the same combo each time-I was hoping for at least one part changing once, made me suspect some scenes were more heavily "weighted" than others but since for us it was
Spoiler alert: Darth, pod racers, Gen Akbar and Naboo

and sounds like others have had other scenes as frequent repeats guess not, just probability stats. Was great regardless but my daughter felt badly carsick with the 3D with motion and only rode it once.

I've ridden Star Tours about 9 or 10 times since it opened and the snow planet (aka "Hoth") is the ONE destination that I have NOT seen yet. I get insanely jealous whenever I hear of someone visiting Hoth.

That is hilarious! You should have been with my family! "Not snow again!" You should tag along. Then at least one of us will get to see something new.

PinkBudgie, I finally got to Hoth, aka the snow planet! I rode Star Tours twice yesterday and got Hoth the first time and the pod race the second time. It only took me about 10 or 11 rides before getting to Hoth, lol. I also spotted a hidden Mickey in the final scene at Coruscant. Hopefully you get the other destinations the next time you get to visit.

After having experienced the new Star tours myself twice,I have to say i have not gotten the same outcome twice. I have gotten a different opening, a different middle action "scene" and a different ending.Overall the rides is fabtabulous!

Assuming that all sections are equally probable (which is in some doubt) I've built the following table. For "No Hoth" you could read any of the other branches in the story (including message delivery). These are the odds of not seeing expressed as "1 in X" (like lottery odds). Given the fact that so many people on this board have ridden the ride 6 times I would be surprised if we didn't have several who are missing a particular ride section
