I think that this will be great. I love C-3PO and it will be good for him to be the driver

Great news, though to have someone who hates flying as the pilot should make for a bumpy ride! I fully expect a hands over eyes moment, for both C-3PO and those riding. Now they just need to go one step further and have R2-D2 in the cockpit too - some droid banter during the ride would be superb.

Is there a date set for when the ride will be changed over at DLP? Going next summer and curious if it'll be changed over yet.

I wish DLP were less secretive about new rides and updates. WDW is much more open about new rides arriving in the future and openly celebrates these things.

I read it was due to get the Star Tour II make over in time for the 20th Anniversary in 2012.
