I have both. On my main tree in the living room I have an Angel. On the small table top tree (which stays up all year round, was my Mama's) in my bonus room/woman cave there is a star.
We were given a hand made cross stitched by my wife's Great Aunt for our first Christmas of our married life 41 years ago and that is what we have always used. I guess after 41 years it's now a family heirloom! I grew up always having one of the glass spire tree toppers.
Well of course you are! We have a Mickey Mouse tree topper, I'm pretty sure we bought it at WDW when Disney Springs was still known as the Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village, so it's 40+ years old.
Living room tree - angel (20yrs old now)
Family room tree - angel (30yrs old now)
DD20’s tree - a Blackhawks stocking cap (the tree is all Chicago Blackhawks)
I have my grandma’s very old angel from her Christmas tree from long ago. I think I’m going to make a in Memoriam Christmas tree with photos of our relatives that have passed away (put them in photo ornaments) and then use this angel as the topper for that tree.
We kind of go back and forth. The tree when I was a small child had a star. Then when I was around ten, I made an angel in school, and that was the topper for several years. Then we got an angel with lights, and then the star we have now. Our current star is kind of a glittery translucent white with white lights inside, simple but very pretty.
We have an angel. I grew up with an angel and my husband bought us an angel the first Christmas we were married. I have seen some really nice stars and I'm kind of tempted to switch, but my husband really likes the angel we have.
our main room tree has a star
my office tree has the death star
my kids room as stitch
our bedroom has Tink
the walkway area when you come in the front door has Mickey
We had an angel for many years. She finally fell apart. We got a lighted star. My DH has a tree in his man-cave and that tree never had anything, but last year he got a star.
