sooo true! Elisabeth is often just sitting there quiet! blahhh and i can't stand half the outfits she wears

Wow I did not want to say anything about Elizabeth for fear of being a witch b/c she seems so sweet and naieve. I cannot stand her. They need someone with a better education and a little more presence. She blends in with the wall paper and you just want to tell her to shut her mouth.

Then I guess you missed the show where Star was very open about her breast lift and augmentation she had done this past Spring claiming that her breasts thought they were 20 years old again. You know she had to get done after such a dramatic weight loss. (<---directed at Star, not you DVCLiz )

I don't care how Star lost her weight or that she married a man that may or may play for the other team or that she pimped out her own wedding...

What bothers a lot of people about her, myself included, was that she insisted that she lost the weight due to exercise and diet...only. Now, I am certain that helped her lose the weight, but look at how much weight she lost and in the time she did it? Come on...surgery probably was involved. She had to know being in the public eye, this would come up. It's certainly her right to not to discuss it and keep it private, but I think she should have taken a different approach and handled it better if she didn't want to discuss it. She's not an idiot.

I remember hearing her say, or reading her being quoted as saying that she had a medical procedure to "jump start" the weight loss process, but she didn't want to reveal the details because she didn't want to endorse one particular method over another. She did say, I do remember, that portion control and exercise were always big components of any weight loss program, and she would endorse that.

My issue is only with her weight loss and the media. I don't care about her wedding or her breasts. And I don't think it's an all-or-nothing, either. Plenty of celebrities share a ton of personal information, but keep some things back. Katherine McPhee sure let us know a lot about her personal life along with the rest of the Idol contestants, but she kept her eating disorder private while Idol was going on. I certainly don't fault her for not vomiting it all up, so to speak, on the national media until she felt it was a better time.

Anyway, what are you and everyone else who's not watching The View anymore going to do??? I think I will use that hour every day to sort and organize mail and paperwork. Just think, Star could ultimately be responsible for an entire nation of productive housework!!!

Star Jones' karma is certainly coming around to bite her in her (much smaller with the help of surgery) butt.

As I've mentioned, I once crossed paths with her outside of a Barry Manilow concert. She was completely and unnecessarily rude to me. I think she deserves any and all negativity that she gets.

She said the truth was that Star has known for months she was not coming back and that they tried to protect her and hoped she would be leaving saying that she was going to a new job. Basically Barbara said the view made star a star and that they had not expected that she would say the things she has been saying off the show. To some extent she said they did not want her back today after all the trash she was talking. I am para phrasing since Babs would not use those exact words.

As far as Star's weight loss goes...I would just like to add that I recall when she was getting ready (in the planning stages) for her wedding...she announced on the VIEW, that all her sisters and her mom and her grandmother were all going to go on a diet right up until the day of the wedding. Basically, the whole family was going to be there for Star as she struggled to lose weight and look the best she possibly could for her wedding........that being said.......she then loses all this weight and then does not want to share any other data....I think she opened that can of worms when she said (about her family) "let the best person win" and it seemed to me it was going to be a "weight watcher" type of situation where everyone would be weighing and measuring their food and exercising........

Then as the weight came off.......and she was asked about it........she didn't want to talk about it.....................

I like what the other Poster said about Star's absence from the VIEW....productivity will return to ALL our lives....

So how many medical procedures are out there that jump start such rapid weight loss that are not bariatric (no stapling, no banding, etc.)? I'm genuinely curious here, does anyone know?

What am I going to do? Um, the same thing I do everyday. If I'm home and not otherwise occupied, I will continue to watch The View. I'm looking forward to Rosie's presence and Star's replacement on the show. Otherwise if I have an appointment, working, in class, etc. then I will miss the show like I have done since its premiere.

I'm watching it right now, but my local news interrupted the first 8 minutes to show us pictures of the flooding in the region. Why they couldn't do this during the rereun of Tony Danza's show or wait until news at noon....I'll never know. So, I missed whatever Barbara Walters said on the show regarding Star.

Wow, that must have been wild watching all that from Babs...so are you saying that Babs is saying that Star has known she was leaving BEFORE Meredith was offered Katie's spot...? And she already has a new job lined up? I read somewhere that Star loved her "hosting" of the VIEW so much she was not and had no intention of going back to LAW ever and was not going to re-new her Attorney's license (?)...did anyone else hear that?????....I wonder if she will return to Law after all this has occurred. Hmmm!!!!!!

I will be just like that tonight watching all the Entertainment shows....wow, I wonder if this will get UGLY.....
