HI, love the site.

Magic visit end of June. no flies, no flies.

I'd like some recommendations for restaurants near STar Island Resort in Kissimmee. I find lots for the on site and Orlando, but the SW Orlando is limited.

I'm going to 4 Rivers for one dinner, but would like to limit the 30 minute drives.

Also, what are the thoughts on Star Island, it's a time share freebie, so I have no big expectations.

Star Island is nice. The grounds and pools are nice. No pool slides or anything of that sort.

What type of room are you getting? If you are getting a 1-bedroom try to make sure it is a 1-bedroom deluxe. There is one side of a 2 bedroom lockoff that is rented as a 1-bedroom that only has a mini kitchen. There is no balcony, no washer & dryer, mini fridge, it has a micro and a stovetop - no oven. There is a toaster and coffee pot.

There is a laundry room on the first floor that you can use. The 1-bedroom deluxe is nice. The bedroom is large and there is a hot tub. The one bedroom deluxe has a balcony, nice size living room with dining area. The fridge is very large and it makes plenty of ice.

There is a game room and the exercise room is also nice. They give you a free bucket of golf balls. There is plenty to do.

There are some nice places to eat in Celebration, just off the 192. Not sure exactly where Star Island is on there. Also on the 192 west you will find a Bahamas Breeze, Sweet Tomatoes, Olive Garden, Miller Ale House which we enjoyed
