Has anyone stayed at this place? A friend of mine just booked with them for April 1st for 5 days. I think it's owned by Wyndam. That's who she originally called and they put her at this resort.

Just curious and I know someone out there has an answer.

Thanks.

WDWistheBest,

Thanks for the location info, but have you stayed there? Any info about that?

Maria

My DW and I stayed there in 2001 and thought it was a nice place. We had a one bedroom and it had a whirlpool tub in it and also a very large walk-in shower in the bathroom. I'd stay there again! It's off of 192, pretty close to a Krispy Kreme!:sunny:

I'm staying there this Sat. for a week. We return home on the 18th (moving over to Cypress Pointe for 4 days) and I'll post a review of Star Island then.

We are owners at Star Island and enjoy it alot. It is off of 192 and back far enough to feel secluded from the world. The staff is great and very helpful. We own through Fairfield, which is the big 6 story buildings in the back of the resort (newer portion). The older portion are the buildings that are three stories high (no elevator).

In the front of the property is a TGIF and you are really close to all of the other restaurants up and down 192. It is about a 3 mile drive to the back gate of Disney property and to I-4. If you should have any other questions about Star Island, feel free to e-mail me.

I do have question.... we've been put in Building 24 (2454) which is being referred to as a 4 bedroom. I was going to try to change to be closer to the clubhouse and pool as we didn't want a far walk. On the map, this building looks kind of far from the front of the resort, although the girl assured me, it was only one building away. I guess my question is, are you familiar with this building? I thought it was part of Star Island, but it has an elevator, so I"m wondering if it's actually Fairfield. I've gotten the feeling from different reads that the Star Island portions were the nicer villa's. I was glad to hear that your postive comments, this resort seems to get a lot of mixed reviews.

Thanks for any addtional info
Jenn
