Standby and DME

Is it possible to fly standby and utilize DME? One adult in our party will most likely be flying standby (family works for airline) and the rest of us will be doing DME.

I don't believe so. They need your flight information prior to arrival. I believe they ask for flight information 30 days before arrival.

I'm a flight attendant, and always fly standby. Sometimes my sister and I even split up for maximum flexibility. For arrival day, I have never called ahead about a same day change, and it's never been a problem -- I just scan and get in line. Checked luggage is never an issue because I only bring a carry-on when flying standby.

As for departure day, I never schedule a pickup time until the night before. I have also called same-day to change the time of my pickup.

Yes, absolutely. As long as that adult is listed on a resort reservation, they can access DME and do not need to give Disney flight info prior to arrival. The guest simply needs to go to the ME area at MCO and they will put them on a bus to their resort. You also don't need to have the yellow ME luggage tags to have Disney retrieve your luggage. You can give a Magical Express CM your baggage claim tickets, they will scan them and retrieve your luggage for you. It's well-organized so even those who make last minute travel plans can access the ME service.

As long as you have a resort reservation, you can ride on the ME. Also, if you have checked bags, just give them your luggage paperwork and they will input it.
