Standard View Rooms at Jambo

Hi All.... so, I know that some Non Dvc rooms at Jambo House end up with partial Savannah or animal views. Is the same true for DVC Standard View. I know we will be only 5th or 6th floors, bu5 what are the View options?

Standard view at Jambo House is pool view or partial savanna view. You'll be on the fifth floor unless you booked Concierge villas which are on the sixth floor.

We have stayed standard 1BR twice at Jambo. Top is 5402, bottom is 5380. I put in requests both times for savanna view.

Definitely, some of the standard view rooms are "partial" savannah. But I'm really not so sure what's "partial" about it. I once had a standard view studio that was a better view of the savannah than the savannah view studio I'd paid more points for the previous visit.

Orginally, the only standards were pool view. Several years ago, DVC converted many savanna view rooms to standard view because those savanna view rooms, though they had OK views of the savanna, were not considered the best. The result is that there are now more converted standard view rooms than there are rooms overlooking the pool. A request for a room on the Kudo Trail side of the building (the left side of the U-shaped building) should give you the best shot at getting a converted room because all standards on that side of the building are rooms converted from savanna view.

I actually kinda like that top view quite a bit. Obviously the animals are the draw, but if I didn't have enough points for savanna I'd be really happy with that.
