So we can get standard poly or club at AKL for the same price in march. Would you choose location or food!

Poly is a construction zone.

The AKL club might be disappointing compared to club level at high quality places. I recommend you read some about the offerings. The animals go to bed early, like at 5. AKL is remote and requires buses, and you might not even be there enough to enjoy the animals or the club.

If you're a park warrior, I'd take neither.

Good points. Yacht and beach are available but not at discount. Never stayed there. We have stayed at swan and dolphin. For context three adults and one daughter that is 7

Poly is nice for Location. We loved our stay at AKL so much to do and see you definitely need to spend time at the resort to enjoy all the stuff to see & do.

I’d do CL at WL over either of those. It’s probably about the same price. We stayed there once and loved it. There’s a nice boat ride to MK and I think CL there is a hidden gem.

If WL CL is a comparable price, this would be my pick. I've stayed CL at WL and AKL. I loved AKL, but it is pretty remote if you're a park warrior and I felt like the food offerings at WL's lounge were superior.

How long is your visit and where will you spend the most of your park time with a 7 year old?

I mean, that's a little bit exaggerated. There's a major project going on, but it's very "off to the side." Cash rooms have about a 50/50 shot of seeing construction and DVC rooms are pretty much entirely insulated.

There is also yacht club club level available at same price as other two on visa discount

Another vote the the YC CL and your 7 year old can enjoy Storm Along Bay (SAB) as a water park. And will be close to Epcot and HS.

I would pick Poly if you’re spending most of your time at magic kingdom. Location is great and if you’re not in the room during the day you won’t hear much construction noise. We went to the resort for breakfast and didn’t see or hear anything. I wasn’t a fan of club level at animal kingdom, I’d do a normal savannah room instead which would be cheaper. I saw animals all the time, even middle of night zebras were outside our room

OP is booking cash, and a lot of that is RIGHTUPON the construction.

Having had a nightmare stay myself in a Disney construction zone at GF, I would avoid. In this price range, OP should be able to do better.

I think you'll be very happy with your decision - the location and YC resort are amazing. But I'd like to clarify something from personal experiences with club levels. The AKL CL is outstanding and is every bit as nice as other offerings on property. AKL is, in our opinion, one of the 'high quality' locations on Disney property. It's actually become our favorite. However, if MK is going to be your primary park, that is the one park that is a bit remote for AKL - the other 3 parks are relatively short bus rides. At YC, you'll still need to bus to MK, or if you have a park hopper and the proper park reservations set up, you might be able to enter EPCOT and walk through to the monorail for MK in the afternoon, but that's probably not practical most of the time. Enjoy your YC stay, enjoy the pool, and enjoy the location!

I may be in the minority here, but I would pick Poly, even if it’s a view of construction. My hotel room is generally for sleeping and showering while on WDW trips as I head to the parks at rope drop and will spend most of the day at the parks. If I lounge at the resort, it will be at the pool, lobby, or bar and rarely in the room. I spend most of my park time at MK; therefore, Poly’s proximity is essential. I also prefer Poly’s theme over AKL's.

With that said, I have stayed at AKL, and I enjoyed it. If I could not obtain a DVC resort reservation at Poly, WL, or GF, I would select AKL.
