Hello everyone
We're thinking about switching our recent bounceback reservation to the Wilderness Lodge. The only availability they had was a standard view club level. How visible is Cinderellas Castle and Happily Ever After Fireworks? Is there a clear view now with the recen addition of the villas? And is the music piped in anywhere or is there a channel available to hear the music similar to what they have at the Contemporary?
Any info would be great.
Thank you

I had a room in the exact middle of the hallway and had a great view of the fireworks. I would imagine most, if not all, of the rooms on that side of the hall have at least a decent view. I think the villas are on the other side - I couldn't see them from my room. I think the music is piped in on the balcony in the lounge, but the view isn't as good there.

We just stayed in room 7052, WL-standard view CL and we had a direct view of Cinderella Castle and the fireworks (plus CR, space mountain and the monorail). The only villas they added were the Cabins and you are far above them, so they don't block the view. I don't know if you can hear the music on the TV as I never looked to see if it was there. Just know, you have to stand on the balcony to see anything. They are "dormer" balconies with roofs so when you sit, you see the balcony wall.

IMHO, WL standard view -CL is the best bang for your CL buck on WDW property. The lounge and staff are amazing, the resort is gorgeous and you have a view of MK all for less than staying CL pretty much anywhere else on property. We loved it.

One thing to remember with WL CL is that you cannot book a view, which is different than non-CL. A CL room can either have a courtyard or standard (facing towards the MK) view. You can request your view, but it’s not guaranteed.

As PP noted, generally speaking the rooms on that side of the hall have a good MK view. CL rooms are on the 7th floor, so the highest floor in the building.

Someone just posted some view pics over on the CL thread this week... maybe go scroll through recent pages over there if you’d like to see.

There is not a channel with HEA music at WL like there is at CR.

They do play music on the balconies off the CL lounge, but the view is not as good there (trees block a direct view towards MK).

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the great info everyone
My understanding was that the standard CL rooms at the Wilderness Lodge only faced the north side of the resort. Are there rooms that face the courtyard? I was assuming that booking this category room would guarantee a MK view on the top floor (even though it's not officially a booing category).

The standard club level rooms can face either side of the resort. I made my only request to face MK and I got it. As noted, I was in the middle of the hall with a great view (room #7054).

The 2 club level options at WL are standard (which are the rooms on the 7th floor) and deluxe (the larger rooms on the ends of the other floors).

Hope that helps!

There are standard rooms that have no view of the castle. The ones that are far down toward the lobby end of the building do not

Honestly, I thought all standard view CL rooms faced MK as well, but apparently I was wrong! (I just looked at the WDW site and it's only standard and deluxe listed). I think at some point they had more categories? Anyway, we did have a MK facing view room in August and I did request "nice view of Magic Kingdom" and got it. I made the request directly through the Old Faithful Club CL staff who contacted me prior to our trip. I'm sure they will try to accommodate you as best they can. I really can't speak highly enough about CL at WL. I honestly would take any view there. We've stayed at every CL at WDW (except BC) and it was our absolute favorite.

So we are so happy. We were pixie dusted a Mk view Wilderness Lodge club level room. Booked courtyard view std room through cheaptickets.com with a coupon! I am in shock but not complaining. I almost feel bad using the club level amenities.

My pics don't do it justice, but i liked the view. This was in april, i would play wishes on you tube while watching the fireworks from the balcony while finishing off some yummy cl desserts. I just emailed dss with my preference of a mk view.
