What is considered Standard View at BW? Is it good or bad? I'm trying to plan for Dec 2004 and I'm trying to decide if I care about preferred/standard view. Thanks for input!

I like the standard view - all standard view will have a view of the parking lot.

If you can get the BW view then go with the preferred view - if they only have the pool views or the other view - then go with standard view.

BW view are now guaranteed - they weren't before.

unless you own pts at BWV for 11 month window chances are slim on getting a Standard anything for the first 2 weeks in DEC and maybe all month. Unless you rent from someone who owns there who can book for you

are you an owner? if so where?:smooth:

I own 50 pts at BW and 150 pts at VWL. We just did the add-on of 50 points this year and already had a vacation planned. I banked them for next year and will have another 50 pts as of June 2004. That gives us 100 BW pts to use and we need a 2 BR. Hopefully, I'll get in with the 11 month window. The standard view will give us an extra night. At this point, we plan on arriving Dec 5. I've GOT to see Disney decorated for Christmas!!!

Thanks Sandy!!! It does help. I think we're going to stick with the Standard View if possible.

We were in 4121 and it was a great std view but i hear 4123 is bigger and better

We had a standard view 1BR at BWV during the Food & Wine Festival in 2001. I tried to book at the 7 month mark with our OKW points, but standard view and preferred view were both unavailable. I waitlisted for both. A few days later, we were confirmed into standard view.

Standard view rooms have views of the entry drive and parking lot. Except for the rooms that are right by the porte cochere, there's a lawn between the building and the entry drive, and the parking lot itself is a fair distance away. The lawn gets wider as the distance from the lobby increases.

It's not surprising that the standard view rooms are normally the first to be booked. The point saving are significant, while the condos themselves are identical. And the view really isn't that bad.
