We made ressies at our home, OKW, while we waitlisted a standard 2 bdrm at BWV. Well our waitlist came through today :bounce: and I was wondering if there are any rooms we really want to try to get or avoid. I understand a standard is not going to have a great view but I was just looking for some advise on some of the "better" ones to try go get and mainly any bad ones we want to avoid. TIA

My favorite standard view BWV villas are by the tennis courts. For the points per night, these rooms are wonderful, IMO. They have a very nice view of the tennis courts, the enterance with the parking lot in the distance and TOT. Plus you can see the Fantasmic fireworks, Friendship boats traveling to MGM, ducks and various wildlife from the balcony and these villas are very quiet and relaxing. However these villas are also the fartherest from the elevators. I believe it was just posted it is 800 and some yards from the eleator to the fartherest room. Bottom line, the fartherest villa from the elevators at BWV is no farther than any other room at YC, BC, GF, etc. and they are great villas!! Enjoy!

You are more than welcome! You will love staying at BWV, it is a wonderful resort! Make sure you take time to enjoy the boardwalk entertainers (Guest Services can tell you times and acts), eat at one of the wonderful boardwalk restaurants (Flying Fish is our all time favorite--wonderful!) and go to Jellyrolls for adult night entertainment (this place is a blast!). Enjoy!!!!!

We've stayed in standard views 3 times and loved them. Twice by the fountain (near the tennis courts) and once across from the bus stop. 3rd or 4th floor. They all had great Illuminations views, you can even hear the music.

Here is a link with some room reports and it will give you some view comments. http://members.aol.com/InstImpres/boardwalk.pdf
This will give you an idea of “sectional views”. It is extremely difficult to ask for a specific room (as well as trying on the CM’s). With the new room ready policy, guests have reported getting several choices at check-in and this may than help

The file is in adobe acrobat and which can be downloaded from this site for free:

Good luck
