Standard room near DVC

My parents have decided that they can't stay with us in a 2 bedroom this trip. Actually, my Mom wants a stand alone room with two beds. So I'm looking for a DVC to sleep 8 with a hotel room with 2 beds nearby. Cost is a factor, but not a deal breaker.

How far would they be from us at BLT/Contemporary? I think we could all stay at Jambo house. My Dad has Parkinson's and he is doing OK, but not great. Our DVC would still be the hanging out spot, so i don't want them as far away as Jambo to Kidani.What other options do I have?

I love my parents and I want them join us, but I'm a little bummed I have to give up my Treehouse.

Except for SSR & OKW, all of the DVC resorts have a hotel counterpart. If they choose to stay in the hotel counterpart, the room can not be booked using points.

Also, the studio at OKW has 2 beds, if you want to book on points. However, there is no guarantee that your 2 BR will be close to their studio. Although if there are 10 of you, I think you can qualify for a grand gathering, which is supposed to guarantee the rooms are nearby. Never done this, but you might to look into it. As far a resorts that could be near each other, the closest you might get to each other with a DVC villa and a cash hotel room would be at Wilderness Lodge. The villas are a shorter walk from the main hotel than Kidani, but you do have to go outside.

BWVs and Boardwalk Inn might work as they are just in different wings, but the hallways at BWVs can be pretty long for someone with Parkinsons, like your Dad.

I would say Wilderness Lodge as well. You do have to go outside, but it is a very wide covered walkway that connects the Lodge to the Villas. It also leads to the buses so easy to meet in the middle for transportation. The hotel is a bit closer to the boat transportation too. The Villas are also very close to the restaurants in the Lodge for dining options.

If you went with Jambo House, you would all be in the same building. The DVC unit would be on the 5th floor (6th for Concierge Level) and the hotel room would be on a lower floor.
