Hi girls. I am a very new scrapper and I would like to know what are the best alphabet stamps to get. Also, what kind of ink to buy. Thank you sooo much!

Hero Arts Alphabet sets

Hero Arts has many different types of alphabet sets.

The set we have (discontinued) is a very whimsical type of set. When we use it, we angle every letter a little bit differently, again it is whimsical, so this looks great. One thing to consider with an alphabet set is how formal or informal you are going to be in your final product. In my opinion, to have a "formal" looking set of letters, you would need to line up every letter and word perfectly. I can't stand doing stuff that putsy. So I prefer the more informal letters. The other things you will need to consider are - are you going upper or lower case, and if you want coordinating numbers/punctuation sets.

We have lower case, and the numbers and punctuation sets.

There are tons of types of stamp pads. I don't scrapbook at all, I solely rubber stamp. I would assume that you would want a dye-based ink that is acid free. Pigment inks take much longer to dry, and are often used for embossing. Generally the really easy way to see if you are looking at a dye vs. pigment ink is pigment inks have a clear cover (and you can actually see the pad/color). Dye based inks usually have a solid-colored cover and you cannot see the pad.

Thanks girls. I'm going to check out those websites. Here's to Happy Stamping! :D
