I used to be a Stampin Up demonstrator quite a few years ago and have had home parties from both companies. I truly love Stampin Up's products and have had A LOT (and I mean A LOT) of their products. But after being a demo for SU for a couple of years, I started getting burned out and ended up selling EVERYTHING a few years ago. I now regret it. :sad2: I really miss making my own Christmas cards.

I just looked through the Stampin Up catalog and have fell in love with a few of the Christmas stamps. I then decided to look online at the Close to my Heart catalog. I also fell in love with quite a few Christmas stamps from them. LOL

I plan on getting a few sets from each. I'm not sure though if I like the SU colors better or CTMH? Or which cardstock I like better.

How about you? Do you prefer one company over another? Why?

I'm somewhat biased because I've been a CTMH consultant for over 11 years. I love our full line of clear stamps and the new Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge is absolutely amazing!

But...you can't beat SU's punches and the diversity of their stamped images. Although I buy mostly CTMH, I definately buy SU as well. They also have the way cool Sizzix dies.

CTMH for the storeability (if that's a word!) of the stamps. PLus I do love their cardstock and paper packs. I'm currently without a consultant here (as they don't operate in the UK) boohoo.

SU fan here. CMTH stamps have, so far, just not appealed to me. The card stock seems to be good quality and have a finish that takes ink well.

The only thing I don't like about SU is the mechanics of their stamp pads - folding them shut always results in inky fingers:laughing:

CTMH pads are the same, but I love that they fold flat to apply the ink so I put up with it:rolleyes1
