Stamped receipt at quick service locations?

I've read in a few posts that when you order a quick service meal and would like ice cream for dessert, you can get your receipt stamped to have it later.

My question is, how long does that stamp last? 1 hour? A couple of hours? Also, does it count for any "snack"?

The only places that you can do this at is the resort counter service places. And not sure if they all participate. I know POP and the All Stars do.

The cashier stamps the receipt and you have 90mins to return to get your ice cream dessert.

It doesn't work with using it as a snack credit.

Is this maybe for food courts that have a self serve ice cream bar or I guess any ice cream for dessert.

I can see the need because, you don't want to get your ice cream at the beginning of the meal and have it melt before you can eat it.

To the OP, I guess you were maybe thinking that you could save the dessert for later in the day which I guess is not the case.
