Stair-lifts

Hello Everyone,

Anyone have any info on home stair-lifts? We are looking for one for my elderly father. Any info regarding reliable manufacturers, retail outlets, or stair-lift quality would be appreciated. We live in northern Delaware in the U.S.A. Thanks!

We have had a stairlift for about 8 years so we can get DD to and from our walkout basement level and it is wonderful!

Bruno is probably best known all over the US, but some companies that are very good in the NorthEast may not be common in the Midwest, where I am.

When we were looking for a lift, we first looked at mobility/accessibility renovation companies in the area, looked for reviews on them and then on reviews on the lifts they carried.
Some areas will let a handy person install a lift. In our area, we had to have a building permit and an inspection after it was installed.
