Stains on old baby clothes

Hello all
I've recently dug out the baby stuff from my first two children and many of them have yellow baby stains on them. I know they looked clean when I packed them away! Anybody have the solution for these? Just Ivory Snow hasn't cut it.
I'd really hate to not be able to use all these cute things and then pass them on to someone else. Please help!!!

I would try hot water and Tide. Take some Tide rub it into the stain and take a little hot water and rub it in. Let it sit for a while and then fill you washer with hot water and about 2 times as much Tide as you would normally put in. Let the washer fill and the Tide completely disolve, then put the clothes in. Don't over fill the washer either, only put about half as many clothes as normal. Let it soak overnight before you let the washer aggitate and finish its' cycle. Check the clothes and repeat if needed.

Ivory Snow is meant to be a gentle detergent. I think that I would go with something stronger for the stains. I firmly believe that Tide can get anything out. My son left a silver crayon in his pocket last week. I washed AND DRIED the clothes without noticing. It was awful. There was silver all over all of the load of clothes including 3 new t-shirts of mine! I did the procedure I mentioned above and I was able to get every bit of it out. Some stains took 2 or 3 treatments.

I usually use All Free and Clear because my skin is super-sensitive. I just rewashed the items and they were fine. That might work if you are concerned about irritation for the baby's skin.

I remember that, with older two the formula would stain the clothes so bad. With my youngest I used Nestle Formula and it did not stain. I always put a stain stick on them as soon as I could and it usually washed out.

we sware by Baby Oxy Clean (different from regular) spray. I had the same problem when I pulled out DS's stuff for DD. Love it.

I use a combo of Shout Advance and Oxy Clean with my kid's clothes. If it doesn't take it out the first time, it should on the second. I've even gotten stuff out that I missed after washing it and drying it!

Soak in oxy clean. sometimes it takes awhile but eventually comes out.

I second the soaking in Oxy Clean. Get the water real hot and put in Oxy Clean and let it soak overnight. Then wash the next day. Gets most stains out...you may have to soak a second night for real tough stains.

Its the iron in the formula.. try Iron Out. It might be hard to find but I've seen it at lowes and walmart by the detergent.

Hot water and oxyclean soak. Make the solution strong. Takes those stains right out.

Sometimes just laying stuff in the sun helps bleach out stains.

I had this problem too, I actually tossed a bunch of stuff b/c I couldn't get the stains out - I was selling/donating the stuff and didn't want to get rid of stuff that looked dirty. Everything was clean when it was packed away - not a mark on them, but took them out of the box a year or so later and they looked awful.
I never thought of the Oxy Clean, but have had luck with their products on other types of stains...sorry not much help! Just had to chime in b/c I didn't know why this happened. Good luck!

I always used Baby dreft spray before I launder and then Dreft detergent or Baby care All or the like in the washer. Seems to work well for us.

like everyone else said. Oxi clean is great so is the sun for getting out stains.
My new fave is Bac-Out by Biokleen

I love the Biokleen products. Our carpet cleaners got us turned us on to them and I love them!
