My dh and I like the look of them and are leaning strongly toward getting them. But I want the pros and cons from you experts!! Will the fingerprints bug me? Are they hard to clean?
I don't want to go with the "satina" finish on the fridge because of the close proximity to the stove/oven and microwave.
Thanks!

All of my appliances are stainless steel and I love them! Not hard to clean at all. Cleaner came with each, and I also just sponge it with water and it looks fine too.

I use Zep stainless steel cleaner. It works great and has a lemon scent.

It isnt hard to clean, but hard to KEEP clean. I can clean mine and literally a minute later there a fingerprints (but I have 3 small children). I also had dents and scrathes on my fridge from my kids. If you dont have very young kids it should be fine. It wasnt an issue keeping clean when it was just DH and myself

I bought a fridge a few months ago & love it! I don't know if I would love it as much with little hands touching it constantly though.

Huge disappointment for us was not being able to use magnets to hold up the kids papers from school & such.... :(

I have stainless steel, but my refrigerator is a GE Profile with the "clean steel" finish that won't show fingerprints and also allows magnets to be stuck to it. It is less than two or three feet away from my stove and microwave, and you can't tell the difference in the finishes.

I use the cleaner that Sears sent with the stove.

We have all stainless steel and while its nice to look at, like the other poster said, keeping it clean is another story. Maybe I'm using the wrong cleaner. I forget the name, but, first I have to spray it on and wipe it, then I have to wait 4 minutes and then I wipe it again. I have to tell you, I do this a few times a day, because it drives me crazy to see a fingerprint on them. Sometimes I regret getting them. What cleaner is everyone else using. I want something that I just need to spray and wipe 1 time. Also, when I tried using a damp rag, that left streaks. What the heck am I doing wrong.

I think mine must also be the GE profile with the different finish MScott/Memphis is referring to. It doesn't show fingerprints and wipes clean easily with the Zap cleaner or a damp sponge. I only wipe mine down about once a week, or even less. Magnets only stick to sides though. But I like this because stuff all over the front of a fridge looks messy to me.

I'm also looking for a good cleaner - I have "water in the door" on my fridge and there always seem to be water streaks on the door I cannot remove.

We got all new stainless fridge, stove and dishwasher in June, but they are the newer "fingerprintless" type. Really like them.

Too hard to keep clean. The stove always seems to look greasy. I got a new cleaner at Acme that I like, I'll post name when I'm not too lazy to get up and look.

Hey I had to go count my shoes yesterday -- too much exercise while DISing!!
