Stage 54 used to be used as an exhibit about certain upcoming Unviersal movies, such as The Mummy Returns and Small Soldiers. More often than not it sat empty, with cars from various movies parked in the alleyway outside. Now it is home to Donkey and Shreck, their greenroom and dressing rooms. What used to be Herc & Xena is still there, connected to 54. Actually Monster's Cafe, Stage 54 and Herc & Xena are all one large continuous building. H & X was used last year as a haunted house, but that has been removed and it is once again in its empty for the most part state, just waiting for Universal Creative to come up with something to go in there. Its odd size and layout make it somewhat difficult though when it comes to finding an attraction that could be put into it without incurring to large of a turnover cost. From time to time over the past couple years it has been used off and on to screen television pilots for guests who were willing to watch and fill out surveys afterward. It is also somewhat regularly used for departmental meetings throughout Universal Orlando. Those with somewhat large staffs find the building the perfect place to have meetings due to the raked seating and rather quiet interior.
