I have seen attendants inside and out of the lavatories on our cruises within the last few years. As others stated, mostly by the MDR's during peak times. Doesn't bother me. Watching out for shenanigans, cleaning up after someone who was not so clean or had an accident etc. Hard working and always pleasant to talk to if you are waiting in a long line outside the MDR's. Now if you are at Remy and you stand up to use the restrooms, you are escorted. I was surprised, slightly embarrassed and then charmed. Cut back on your liquids if you don't want an escort when dining there! LOL One cruise we even made it a point of taking pictures of all the bathrooms on the Dream (unoccupied, of course!). They are all themed differently and immaculate.

That (plus being gluten-free AND not eating fish) is a big part of the reason I will never go to Remy. I am quite capable of going to the bathroom by myself without an escort. You may call it charming, I call it insulting.

We cruised on the Fantasy for the first time 2 yrs ago. My dd made it her mission to find and look inside every public ladies restrooms on the ship. She thought they were all so fancy. She refused to use the plain boring bathroom in our cabin and would only use the public ones, I'm sure the attendants thought she was stalking them after awhile! We'll be on the Fantasy again in less than 2 weeks, I'm hoping she has forgotten all about them!!

When this happened to me, my first thought was that I’d given them the impression I was impaired and would get lost on my own. (That pre-dinner champagne in Meridian may have been ill-advised, but that’s beside the point. )

I did the pre-dinner champagne in Meridian as well. LOL
