Staff Not Happy About Dining Plan?

yes, told the server early on that we were on the plan. before she served us dessert, she demanded my card to check our credits. Suffice it to say she had egg on her face when she realized how much I had on my account and then brought us our dessert with a totally different attitude. This was at the Contemporary at the Steakhouse. OUr total for 4 came out to $150. I think she thought we couldn't afford it or something.

I don't tell them I'm on the dining plan til the end of the meal and I hand them my key card.

Is there some reason you need to tell the server at the beginning of the meal? Do they have to write the check up different? I have to say we have never used the DE and this will be our first time. We have only had one really bad time (Sci-Fi problem with seating) all other times have been GREAT!!!

when you make your ADRS they ask if you are on the dining plan? We never had bad service anywhere in DEC
only at alfreedos she was sooo SLOW several other people came and went
it was the only meal i wasnt happy with
at le cellier, and kona we had amazing service and left extra $$

we have been on the DP several times with no problems.

you know- i have always wanted to go to the CG- however, after reading so many different negative posts about the place (service, food, being mistreated in general)- i am choosing not to even attempt to go. i am the kind of person- if someone rolls there eyes at me or is rude- forget it. i will have to call them on it!

i would have to comment....

"ummmm- excuse me, but is there a problem with the fact that i am on the dining plan??" "because it seems to me, there may be!"-- my DH would die! ;)

you might want to point out the fact that they should be LUCKY that you ARE on the plan because there would be NO WAY you would get a good tip from me for the "rolling of the eyes" incident! "this way i have no choice!"

not sure if the answer went over my head or no one said it??? do you have to tell the server you are on the dp or can you just hand them your card at the end( like a charge to the room would be)

We had great service on the dining plan this August and I not only told them at the beginning of the meal that we were on the dining plan but also that we were on the FREE dining plan. I guess I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to celebrate my good fortune. Every server we had was wonderful, except the one at Donald's and that meal was OOP :confused3 . She wasn't bad, just not as good as the other servers. We ate at 1900 Park Fare, where our server recommended we have specialty drinks included, smoothie for me and glowing cubes for the kids. Service was good at CRT, but specialty drinks were off limit, no biggie, the server was still very polite and attentive. At Prime Time 50s Cafe we were also treated well and the kids got the special drinks with souvenir cups and glowing cubes.

Yes, you can just hand them your card but let them know you are on the dining plan so they don't charge it if its connected to your cc.
