Has anyone ever taken stadium cushions in to watch Fantasmic?
We love the show, but our poor old bones and fannies really tire on
those benches. Would we look silly? Is it allowed?

Thanks in advance for your input!

i'm sure it's allowed and i don't think it would look silly... you could probably stow them in a locker while you tour the park and pull them out before you head to the theatre... another thought would be if you are in the market for a wdw souvenier anyway, buy a sweatshirt at one of the shops on the way to the theatre and sit on that! it'd serve double duty ;)

We used a beach towel last trip and it worked out well. DD had her eye on a sorcerer mickey beach towel as a souvineer so we purchased it last thing before fantasmic. It was perfect for the 3 of us, me and my two dd's. It was not as cushie as a stadium seat but still worked to keep the chill out and was a bit of padding on the metal seats. It also helped define our three seats when I went to get drinks and snacks as well as when the last minute crowds started to cram in.

I don't see why you couldn't use a stadium seat or cushion, great idea!

Cushion alone would be great. I don't know about the ones that have the backs though. You could get bumped a lot.

We've stuffed our backpack with hotel towels during the winter months. That aluminum gets cold.

I bring small inflatable seat cushions. They fit in my pocket or fanny pack until I need them and blow up with just a couple breaths. Really convenient and a butt saver. You can purchase them online, got mine on ebay. There is also a place called pocketseat.com that looks like they have nice ones.

I wish that we had had something like this for CP back in December 2003. It was so cold that I considered buying hot chocolate just to pour over my frozen buns. The metal benches were :cold: Maggie

You know, Disney would probably make a small fortune if they sold stadium seat cushions at the show LOL.

We always used to take them for Illuminations and the light parade during the years when I *had* to sit on the curb. (this was pre-fantasmic) Personally I think it's a great idea.

I really like the inflatable cushion idea! As long as the cushion does not develop a slow leak......and become a "woopie cushion" ! :rotfl2:

I haven't tried it but I have read of some people that have bought bath pillows with a terry cloth surface at the Dollar Tree to use as inflatable cushions. I've seen them in the store and they are in a small plastic pouch that would fit nicely in a backpack. They would serve the purpose of being softer than the metal benches at Fantasmic or the sidewalk curbs for parades. I'd invest $1 for that! :teeth:

I think it's a great idea. Those seats are none too comfortable...especially when you get there 75 minutes before show time....only to get rained out of the show 5 minutes before it starts. We were so bummed! The thunder and lighting started literally 5 minutes before showtime and the rain was coming down in buckets. By the time we got to our bus, we were all soaked to the skin!

great idea!!!
we always bring seat cushions to the mets games (baseball team) we go to

that would probably be really comfortable if your sitting there for an hour and a half like we do!

but its all worth it! :wizard:
