Stadium Cushion Seats at Fantasmic?

I usually find it hard to sit on backless metal benches for long periods of time. Recently I bought one of those stadium cushions that has both a bottom and an attached back. Will they allow someone to use one of those in the Fantasmic theater. Would carry it in to the park inside a backpack that I normally wear to the parks to carry snacks/bottled water/other assorted items. In the past we have packed towels from the resort to help cushion the seats, but this would not only do that, but would also give my back some relief as well. Has anyone done this before.
TIA for your responses.

Yes.

We always bring a sports cushion with a handle and DH does have one like you describe, and after a long day it really helps his tail bone injury.

:thumbsup2

A few years back we brought stadium seats to Fantasmic. It was great. at the end of a long park day back support is important.

What a Fantastic idea! Husband & I both have back issues & I think this would be great for both of us.

For those of you that have purchased these seats.....is there a difference in them? In other words, do some brands or styles have a more sturdy & reliable back? When we go to purchase the seats, is there something we should look out for to make sure the seats have, or don't have?

Looks like we'll have something else to pack. But I'm sure this will be so worth it! Thanks for any tips for when we go to purchase these seats.

OP, what a great idea! Glad you posted this - had no idea they would let us take something like that in the park! Will make the 'pre' show sitting so much more pleasant! :thumbsup2

NOW...

If there was just a way to TUNE OUT the pre-show "entertainment."

The "Morning Zoo DJ-type" hosts are a bit over the top (and far, far too LOUD) for my tastes.

I think you are just going to have to see for yourself. These seats range from just a thin cushion for your bottom to ones with fully padded arms and cup holders.

Whatever you pick realize that you may have to carry it around all day since not sure it would fit in a locker.

OMG. I have a bad lumbar spine and I have suffered so much watching this show in the past. I have tried everything fr leaning up against my husband's knees (him sitting behind me), to having to practically get down on the ground and lean on the bench bottom to support my poor back. I think the last time I did this, I apologized to the people around me and just got on the floor. I just can't take the seating with no back support. I am starting PT on Monday and although I am looking forward to an upcoming spring break trip....I am scared for my back's sake. The idea of some sort of foldable seat is great! I am thinking of the kind you use at outdoor stadium football games/bleachers, where the seat is not too large and just folds up. I don't see how Disney could object to that. They could even rent them out and make more money! I wouldn't be able to haul something like that around all day and someone below mentioned it would not fit in a locker....anyone, please let me know if you find a solution. The last time I was there, I let the kids sit in my sight and I stood at the very top and back of the arena. It is a cool show, but I have actually bypassed it before because I just could not sit there on the benches

Completely agree. Remember the bellhops? Now THAT was entertaining. It was also 1997.

Even though people on this thread have reported bringing them in and using them, other people have posted they were told they could not because they fit the category of 'folding chairs' in the list of items not allowed that I linked below.
So, it may depend on how small your seat is, whether it actually fits in your backpack and the security person you get.
