I had the charge show up on my Disney Visa online statement (still have lots of pendings but hopefully they will disappear). It is slightly above the original amount on my online receipt. However, I have figured out why.

In my case I purchased 2 costumes and 1 accessory. I used all the discounts available. Disney estimated the tax at 7% (but I actually live where it is 5%) and based the tax on the amount after ALL discounts.

From Original receipt:
Subtotal: $78.50
Discount: ($53.55)
Est. tax: $1.73
Grand total: $26.68

From Original receipt:
Costume $24.15
Costume $24.15
Accessory $6.65
Total: $54.95


I actually paid $27.70. Here is why. The tax is actually calculated on the amount of the order after % off discounts but before $ off discounts. In my case my items cost $54.95 after the 20% and 10% discounts but before the three $10 off coupons were applied. Tax at 5% on $54.95 is $2.75.

So we get:
Item after % discount: $54.95
5% Tax on this amount: $2.75
Less $ off discounts: ($30.00)
Grand Total: $27.70

Ahh... Thanks for that explanation. I was charged 1.25 more than originally quoted. I'm not complaining though because I got a heck of a deal.

My account has cleared up too. Just the two orders charged & 6.15 left pending. Wish that I would have done that other order for DD. (One of my orders was for a friend without a Disney Visa.

I had one costume ship and my card was charged 3.67. Very strange I wish all the costs were posted already!

If you're talking about the luggage, it usually comes DHL or USPs. Whenever I order the larger items they come in their own boxes and do not arrive the USPS.

Disney Direct broke up my first order. They shipped out my dd's patio table and chiars separate from the two other items I ordered. They charged me separate for this order. The shipping label had the amount of 4.34. The table was 24.99 and they applied the two 10.00 dicounts to this order. Ok so that care of one of the carges on my CC. The other charge is in the amount of 48.21 for the other two items. It comes out right. I just hope I get the second order. I haven't gotten the email saying it's been shipped yet but there's still some pending charges. We'll see!!

Aurora is beautiful--very glad I went ahead and ordered it. Unfortunately, My daughter didn't look nearly as cute in the Jasmine costume, so after all that worry....I'm returning it, LOL

I got my stuff today. Was over charged $10.00 they did not give me the halloween book for 4.95 like my on line bill said i got it for. It was the orginal price of $14.95. Pluse extra Tax was added on. What to do. I dont think it would be worth it to call and try to get the book for 4.95. Still got a great deal Each costume for 9.50.

During the discount frenzy I entered 3 different orders (8/23, 8/25, 8/27).

I received notice that 2 of the orders are in route. I'm waiting for the 3rd email notice to come through. My credit card has the correct pending balances. We don't have sales tax so the charges are right on with the invoice sent via email.

I do have to make a trip to the Disney Store (90 miles from home) next weekend to return a few things. I was going to send them via mail but since I had to make the trip I decided to save the shipping charges.

I am in the same boat. Got "items shipped" e-mail for 2 out of 3 orders. Still waiting on the 3rd...is there reason for concern? My other 2 orders were shipped a few days ago and I placed all 3 orders on the same day, so I'm wodering why the delay. I sure hope they didn't oversell...had this happen before. (The order that hasn't shipped yet is--of course--the one with the costumes in it! I hope that they didn't sell out during our little frenzy!)

Well, IDK what to do. I got my order today with DS's Captain Hook costume. It looks nice BUT the velour jacket is COVERED with white mold!!! Now do I just try to wash it out since I ended up getting it for such a great price or will this stuff even wash out? I don't want him getting sick wearing something that has mold on it.

they shouldn't even give something like that away. I think I'd call guest services and see what they suggest.

It's funny that you mentioned the mold on the jacket...I ordered four of the camp chairs with the Mickey icon on the back and two of them had what looked like rust stains on them and all four had this white powdery stuff on them (almost looked like starch?). For the record, they are the most uncomfortable chairs ever. And to top it off, they went from $19.99 to $9.99 just a few days after I ordered. AARGH!!!

(Doesn't matter though as they will be returned a.s.a.p.)

They are sending me a return label for this one & sending me a replacement costume. I sure hope that it wasn't a problem with the entire shipment of those costumes.

YEAH!!!! I got it today. The girls (only ordered 2 outfits) look so cute!!!! I wish I knew how to post a picture. It took a week from when I ordered.

Many thanks to the people that posted this deal and spelled out all the steps to make it so easy to order!!! My 2 DD's are wearing their beautiful Cinderella dresses and watching the Disney planning DVD as I type this. They were absolutely thrilled. The XS was just the right size for my 4 year old.
