Can anyone recommend a private charter for when we are in St Thomas? we are a party of 6 (4 adults/ DS 8, DD, 3). I think it would be breathtaking to go out on our own & see these islands.

I did a little research on this, and had we decided to go this route I would have probably gone with the Fantasy. Their web page is Daysail "Fantasy"

Thanks. We just want to take in as much of the island as possible with our entire party. It is hard to find disney sponsored activities for a 3 y.o-she loves water, boats. Would hate to leave her behind. WIll definitely contact them. May I ask why you didnt go this route? I am leary about straying from DCL sponsored excursions, but it seems to be popular among the dis boards.

We decided to go on the Doubloon Cruise instead. We wanted a half day excursion, so that the shoppers in our group could get their fill.

Plus the Doubloon cruise is a pirate themed snorkel trip, and our group of six includes several pirate-fanatics. I was highly recommended on this board.

I wouldn't have hesitated to choose Fantasy, even though it's not on the DCL list. It's impossible for them to recommend excursions that only can take six people. I was satisfied that this was a good one.

We were on the 8/21/04 Magic and did a non-DCL excursion on The Jester with Capt. Jim. His website is www.sailjester.com.

I cannot say enough great things about our excursion..It was fabulous 9-3ish. grilled lunch, free beverages, snorkel gear, rafts, noodles...it was fabulous!!!

edited to add: for some reason the link doesn't work to the website but if you cut and paste it into your browser windoe it should work.

Thanks for all the info. I will definitely look into those daysails-I sent an email to sailjester & they already responded---my son is very much looking forward to "sailing" a boat w/ the captain.

We also went on Jester. There were 6 of us and it was a great day.
Much better imho than being in a group of 40 or 50 people traipsing off to a big boat. Very personalized and relaxing.
The reason your link doesn't work denise is you have a "." at the end of your sentence that is being read as a part of the address. If you edit your post and remove the period at the end of the address it will work :)

Cheers,
Grumbo
