Here is a little report/tips I put together for our day in St Petersburg. We used Anastasia Tours and they were right there when we got out of passport control waiting for us. Also, they did not have have russian doll painting listed in their excursions. I asked them to add it on to our day and they did.

With Anastasia, you could have food added into the price of the tour. Honestly, we were two families with 3 kids ages 8, 10, and 12. We did not bother to add food, but we promised the kids if they could hang on through a good portion of the day, we would stop and grab McDonalds. The tour guide was extremely helpful in not only having the driver find a McDonalds, but also helping us all order our food. You might think that silly, but going on a 12 hour tour with 3 kids, that was one of the highlights of the day.

Ending the day painting the dolls was the best idea overall. The kids were so engaged and happy to be off their feet and having a "hands on" experience. We also stopped to let the kids play in the fountains at Peterhof Gardens. Overall I cannot say enough about the experience we had with Anastasia tours. I highly recommend the tour company. We were able to see much much more than any DCL excursion and I believe we paid roughly $500 for 3 people for the whole day.
