St.Patricks Day

I know I don't post here that often, but I could do with some advice. I couldn't plan a Disney holiday without this board.

We have FINALLY convinced the kids to go back after the disaster that was Christmas 2010and they are excited!!!!

We are hoping to go in March. DD will be 4 on Paddy's day, so we are hoping to a birthday cake some where.
the plan;
Stay in HNY (Stayed here in Jan with DH for our anniversary without kiddies).
we are 2 adults, 3 teenagers (one of them isn't ours, our DS friend who has never had a holiday in his life! not even in Ireland) and 3 kiddies.
Pick a restraunt for birthday celebrations.

so...
has anyone stayed for St.Patricks day? What are the crowds like? And the weekend before?

we have done Cafe Mickey for a birthday before, but would like to try somewhere else! Does Auberg De Cinderalla do birthday cakes?
Is inventions good for character interaction?

We were there for St Patrick's Day this year. It was really nice, they had lots of little events happening, face painting, irish dancing etc.. They also had a little pre-parade with mickey & minnie in their irish outfits followed by lots of irish dancers.

We were suprised by how quiet the parks were, given that this event was going on!

You can get birthday cakes and both Auberge or Inventions.. With Auberge, I've seen a few times where it's just one of the mice that brings the cake over rather than any of the princesses - which I think would be a shame!

We mostly have great character interaction in Inventions, but it does vary greatly on where they sit you. On one of our visits we were sat in the end room, in the middle and lots of characters went round the perimeter of the room and never made it to us on the inside
