St. Martin Zoo

Does anyone know if the St. Martin Zoo is still in operation? If so, has anyone been there lately? Would you recommend it? Have DD11 and DD7.

There is a guy who has a web page about the zoo (lots of pics plus directions) <B><a href="http://www.jmbcommunications.com/zoo.html">HERE</A></B>, and it includes a phone number. But the "official" site for the zoo seems to no longer work. Could be temporary, or they may have moved the site, or they <I>might</I> be closed. However, they are still listed on the St. Maarten business directory that was updated this year.

We were on the 9/07/02 Magic Cruise and visited the Zoo in St Maarten. If you don't have very high expectations and money to burn then stop and take a look. It is small and not very clean. There are not very many animals either. I believe it was $6 per person. Personally if I had known what it was like I would not have wasted the money. My kids were very disappointed. We did the whole zoo in about 15 - 20 minutes.

Just my opinion.
