Our Cruise in Dec got changed to St. Marteen instead of Tortola in the group that just got switched. The excursion options are basically nothing. Has anyone hired any private charter excursions and if so, with who? From what it sounds like, St Marteen is in really rough shape still too so we are pretty bummed.

A number of people for my cruise have booked with either Soualiga Destinations, or Bernard's Tours, both of which have excellent reviews in the cosmos.

You can also book Rockland Estate privately with a more flexible age limit, or an ATV tour of the island via some private providers. If you want a beach, it's $7 to use the water taxi all day and it goes straight to Great Bay Beach, which is also near downtown shopping.

I guess I should have also mentioned that we are a group of 15 with kiddos down to age 5. Are they able to accommodate groups like ours?

For something like Soualiga, that would be one boat. If they weren't already booked up, I don't see why someone like Captain Bob would decline the chance to book an entire boat in one transaction, KWIM? He has multiple boats with a passenger limit of 17. You could also look at private charters via TripAdvisor.

The water taxi absolutely would be able to accommodate, as would some of the private-side excursions.

We are on the NYE Cruise & has the same change. We had booked aristocat charter in Tortola & we’re so bummed.

The closest thing I could find was captain bob in St Maarten. We booked with him after researching activities. None of Disney’s looked good at all...and we have a 4 yr old, so it really limits us in Disney’s offerings.

We got rerouted as well, but we are super excited about the change. We booked the See and Sea because it spend the most time on the French side. Shopping then a leisurely cruise. My perfect day :yay:

Wait, the See and Sea is the Seaworld Explorer PLUS shopping? I was looking at SM27 (Seaworld Explorer), but it seemed short. The shopping added to it on the See and Sea (SM10) might help.

I was also looking at the Sea Trek Helmet Dive (SM32). Has anyone done that (or the Seaworld Explorer)? I wondered if they are put on by the same company and if they are any good.

We were also thinking of the Caribbean Beach Day (SM56), but we are also hoping to do Magen's Bay in St. Thomas. I don't want to miss out on something unique for a beach day twice. Any comments?

Well, I guess the beach for Saint Maarten is on the French side, so it is clothing optional. Won't get that on St.Thomas. :rotfl:

lol! I have teenaged boys. If I tell them that, they might vote for it!

Close your eyes and imagine everyone at the grocery store, naked. THATS what you’ll be getting at a clothing optional beach. It’s not the Victoria’s Secret catwalk. Just so the teenage boys have realistic expectations ;)

Uh, yeah, that's probably true.
