Does anyone know why Disney don’t offer this port of call on their Eastern cruises anymore?

We took one in 2014 and loved Maho Beach, would love to go back but it seems they now visit Tortola in instead.

Do they have any plans to change their Eastern itineraries and add this port back in?

Thanks!

Disney does still stop at St. Maarten. We have friends who sailed on the 4/21 Fantasy and they did stop there.

They were only sailing there due to the damage in Tortola. It wasn’t planned and the original itinerary will resume in June.

Our March 4 cruise of this year on the Wonder was scheduled to go to St. Maarten, we booked it over a year ahead of time. St Maarten was always a scheduled port, it wasn't subbed like on the Fantasy cruises. We weren't able to go to St Maarten though, bad storms "forced" us to go to CC instead. The cruise before ours was scheduled to go to St Maarten also and they did go. I think these 2 Wonder cruises were the only Eastern cruises that had St Maarten as a port of call. Do the Southern cruises go to St Maarten?

Disney signed a contract with Tortola in 2014 (http://disneycruiselineblog.com/201...ns-berthing-agreement-british-virgin-islands/) guaranteeing passengers to the port. The contract allowed Tortola to proceed with development of their port and granted Disney preference for port days. The contract is for 15 years so I would expect that the Fantasy (or the new boat that takes it's place on this Eastern/Western routes) continue to visit Tortola over St Marten until 2029.

Is there a reason they couldn't visit both islands?

I was just there on our Eastern cruise a few weeks ago. It was the replacement though for Tortola.

Thanks for the info! I was really hoping St Maarten would be back but I guess we’ll have to wait a while. Wish they would swap St Thomas for St Maarten!
