anyone done port adventure SM62 on St. Maarten? (Beach Rendezvous) looking for feedback.

We did St. Maarten on our own with Get Your Guide (St. Maarten Half-Day Tour of French & Dutch Sides) last July. It was me and DS (7 at the time). We visited a few scenic spots, and also did a beach break. There were only four of us total (2 adults also from the ship). I think on your own is fine.

We did the Beach Rendezvous years ago. Based on the current description, it’s changed a bit in terms of the food, but the core experience remains the same.

It was definitely convenient, with DCL taking care of all logistics, but like most Port Adventures, the CMs spend so much time getting ready and herding cats, it seems like you can get there at least 90 minutes earlier on your own before the crowds show up en masse.

And once the PA arrives, the beach is kind of overrun. Hard to find chairs close to the water, and the view of said water obscured by 5-6 rows of other guests in chairs.

It was OK - especially if you don’t like forging your own way - but it reminded us of why we prefer to makeshift our own beach day to get ahead of the crowds and/or get off the beaten path.
