Has anyone done St. John Trunk Bay Beach & Snorkel Tour lately? There is a non swimmer in our group and I am wondering if the boat pulls right up to the beach or do you have to get off the ladder and swim to get to the beach? TIA!

We haven't yet, but we are scheduled for this tour in March. From what I read, you take the ferry to St. John, then an open-air taxi to the beach. I am assuming you will wade into the water for the snorkel tour. Trunk Bay is a part of the National Park Service. You can read about the underwater snorkel trail here:

I will be happy to update you when we return at the beginning of April!

No swimming off of the ferry....you get off right onto the dock. We did this excursion a few years ago, but IMO was not enough time at the beach. More traveling via ferry and truck to get to the beach than actual time at the beach. It was very beautiful though, just wish had more time there.

Good to know, we leave on the 30th of this month and I was worrying we would have to cancel and find something else.
