I know that St. Croix is a relatively new port for Disney, but we are sailing on the 3/28 Eastern Caribbean and I am wondering about shore excursions. Has anyone been on this sailing yet and booked an excursion in St. Croix? I think we want to snorkle...

We are on the same cruise and doing the Buck Island snorkeling excursion. A poster who was on the first cruise to St. Croix in January gave the Buck Island excursion really good reviews.

Don't do the scenic island tour...there's not much to see. I actually fell asleep on it.

I might be the reviewer of the Buck Island Snorkel excursion. We really liked it. THe tour operator was very good, the boat was ok, the snorkel equipment was very very good and the crew was awesome!!

If you haven't seen my other pictures, here are a few...

How was the quality of the snorkeling? See anything good? How was the water temperature?

We've snorkeled in Hawaii, which was fantastic, in Cabo which was still okay...and Castaway Cay, which was pretty cloudy and not much to see beyond the snorkel trail. It was fun to play in, but glad it was free since we brought our own gear. :)

we saw a lot of different fish. we ended up in a couple of schools of fish - one was the blue "dory" like fish - I don't know maybe a hundred of them came a swam right through our group. (no one was "feeding the fish" - it's forbidden.). A bunch of the parrot fish also swam around us. The reef is interesting. I didn't bother with an underwater camera since we have never had any luck with them.

Come on over and join our cruise meet board. :)

Thanks so much for posting some pictures of the island Jrabbit!

We are thinking of spending the day at the beach and being close to the boat and all its amenities!

Hi
My family is going on the 3/28 Magic too!! We booked the jeep adventure. I read about it on Cruise Critic and visited their web site (Tan Tan Tours I think). It looked awesome! Hope it turns out to be fun. :drive:

We did the miniboat excursion and loved it. We got on little boats right at the dock. We went to a couple of locations and snorkeled for 45 minutes at both stops. We were on our own boat, and all of the boats just followed the guide's boat. Brook was his name. He was with Island Networks and was great. The snorkeling wasn't that day because of a front that had come through the day before. But it was still fun.
