Four years ago I participated in a St. Baldrick's event. I wanted to do it again and realized there were no events in this area. I decided to organize one myself. We now have our venue (Raglan Road- the only other one in the country besides the one in DTD) and our date. I am starting to recruit volunteers and shavees.
This is my first time organizing or volunteering for St. Baldrick's. This is my first time organizing anything on this scale. I still new to the area and establishing connections, so I'm worried about spreading the word and getting shavees. I do plan to contact the Rotary, and the local police and fire departments as they traditionally have supported this cause.
If anybody has experience with this event, or event oganization in general, I would love any advice. Thanks!
